How to format an email with HTML
HTML mode lets you format emails clearly and attractively. The editor supports fonts, font sizes, emphasis, paragraphs, lists, links and other common formatting options.
Enable HTML mode
- Open a new email.
- In the editor mode selector at the top right, choose HTML.
- Format the text in the editor, then enter the recipients and subject.
- Check the result and click Send email.
Which formatting is useful?
- Use headings and paragraphs to structure the message.
- Use bold emphasis sparingly for important terms.
- Use lists for several related points.
- Insert links only when they are relevant to the recipient.
- Keep font sizes and colors readable and avoid overloaded layouts.
What should I consider when sending HTML email?
Not every email program displays HTML in exactly the same way. Complex layouts, unusual fonts and large images may look different or be blocked by the recipient. Do not put important information only in colors, images or formatting.Tip: Plain text is often sufficient for short, factual messages. HTML can improve readability for invitations, instructions or clearly structured information.
Attachments are available regardless of the selected editor mode. Click Add in the Attachments field, select a local file or a file from eclipso Drive, and confirm with OK. You can also add local files by drag and drop.
