- If necessary, select another personal sender address or alias in the From field.
- Enter at least one recipient in the To field. Separate multiple recipients with a comma or semicolon.
- Open the advanced fields if you need Cc, Bcc or Reply to.
- Enter a meaningful Subject.
- Choose between Plain text and HTML in the Editing mode selector at the top right. In the general settings, enable Prefer HTML if HTML should be used by default.
- Use the Priority selector to mark the email as Normal, High or Low.
- If you have created a signature under E-Mail | Signatures, select it at the bottom of the compose window and click Paste.
- Write your message and add attachments if required. Click Add next to Attachments, choose a local file or a file from Drive, and confirm with OK. You can also drag local files into the attachment area.

Choose plain text or HTML
In the Editing mode selector, you can switch between Plain text and HTML for each email. If you generally prefer HTML emails, enable Prefer HTML in the general settings. For details, see Format an email with HTML ↗ and HTML or plain text email ↗.Set the priority

First create your signatures under E-Mail | Signatures in the settings. When composing, select the desired signature at the bottom of the compose window and insert it into the message with Paste. For details, see Sender and signature when sending an email ↗.Select recipients from the address book
You do not have to enter recipients manually in the To, Cc and Bcc fields. If you have saved contacts or groups in your Address book, click Address book next to the To field.Select one or more contacts in the address book and assign them to To, CC or BCC. Click OK to transfer the selection to the email. Alternatively, enter at least two characters in any recipient field and select a matching address book suggestion.
The contacts or groups must already be saved in the address book and contain an email address.
What is the difference between To, Cc and Bcc?
- To: The actual recipients of the message.
- Cc: Additional recipients who receive a copy. All recipients can see the Cc addresses.
- Bcc: Hidden recipients. The other recipients cannot see these addresses.
What happens after sending?
The email is handed over to the mail server and, when enabled, stored in the Sent folder. If required information is missing, a recipient is invalid or a sending limit has been reached, eclipso displays an appropriate message.Tip: Use Bcc for group messages when recipients should not be able to see each other's addresses.
