Sender and signature when sending an email
When composing an email, you can select which personal sender address will be used. You can also insert a saved signature into the message.
Create signatures in the settings under E-Mail | Signatures before using them. They are then available for selection in the compose window.
Select the sender
Select the desired personal address or permitted alias in the From field. Check the selection carefully for business and personal messages. The reply address can be set separately in the advanced fields.Insert a signature
- Select the desired signature at the bottom of the compose window.
- Click Paste to place it at the cursor position.
- Check the signature before sending and adjust the message if necessary.
Depending on the selected editor mode, signatures can be inserted as plain text or HTML. A signature is message content, not a cryptographic digital signature.
Tip: Use a suitable signature for each sender address and keep the contact details up to date.
You can also attach local files or files from eclipso Drive with Add in the Attachments field and confirm the selection with OK. Local files can also be dragged into the compose area.
